Skippack Historical Society

The Skippack Historical Society is a non-profit organization formed in 1967 for the purpose of researching and documenting the many historical sites and rich history of the Skippack Valley, the site of the second inland settlement of the Pennsylvania German people.

Peter Wentz Farmstead

The Peter Wentz farmstead was established in 1744 By Peter And Rosanna Wentz.
Special events and exhibits representing Pennsylvania German culture and early American farm life take place thoughout the year.

Pennypacker Mills

A serene country estate and surrounding farmland of 170 acres. Originally constructed about 1720, the mansion redesigned in 1901 to enhance a country gentleman's lifestyle. Fully furnished with anitques collected by former Pennsylvania Governor Samuel W. Pennypacker.

Acticities throughout the year include exhibits, nature walks, workshops and special events. Picnic facilities available.

Tibetan Buddhist Monks from Drepung Gomang Monastery Return to Dreamcatcher

Sunday Evening, February 18th, starting at 7:00 PM

Experience the monks chanting mystical prayers offering healing and spiritual wisdom, while contributing to the preservation of the endangered Tibetan culture.

Excellent silver jewelry, pure wool shawls, gem stone beads and other items from the Himalayan region, richly embroidered tablecloths and other tapestries handcrafted in the monastery by the monks will be available for sale.
