Skippack Village Business Association (SVBA) Monthly Meeting

April 20, 2004

 

In Attendance:

 Mark Thomas (State Farm), Charlie Shaffer (Le Butler"s Pantry), Judi DeAngelis (Only

For U Inc.), Susan Sweet (Home Sweet Home), Art Berger (Wooden Duck),  Scott Pruyn

(Dreamcatcher), Donna Davidson (Dreamcatcher), John Canan Vertical Leverage), Bob

Sweet (Home Sweet Home).

 

Judi DeAngelis, Vice  President called the meeting to order at 6:15Pm at Justin's Carriage House

Restaurant. Bob Sweet came in later.

The minutes were distributed and approved.

 

Treasurer's Report:

Insurance premium  will be due in May. Scott will be checking with State Farm for a premium quote.

 

Motion was carried to extend the Membership Dues of $216.00 to the end of April.

A "Thank You" letter was discussed at the meeting to Membership who took the time to join.

Having a Social Event to culminate the membership drive was discussed. Donna from Dreamcatchers

will be chairperson of the event. Judi and Susan volunteered to be on the committee as well. The

committee will look into cost, location and time. notification will be by invitation. This was approved

by members in attendance.

 

Committee Reports:

Brochure Committee:

Mark Thomas stated that letters will be sent out to businesses about the brochure. There is still a

decision whether it will be a 12/16/20 page brochure. A discussion was about the brochure

 concerning the following:

Members of the Brochure Committee Mark, Susan, Charlie and Judi will work on the layouy design.

 

The Brochure Committee is looking for volunteers for the following Subcommittees:

Website:

Art Berger went over the Websitee Subcommittee Meeting on 4/10/04

In attendance at the meeting was  Art Berger, Bob Sweet Charlie Shaffer, Mary Ann Farley and John Canan.

Topics which were discussed by the committee:

John Canan of Vertical Leverage was in attendance and hand out a proposal on upgrading the

village website.

 

No other business was discussed because of time.

 

Meeting was adjourned.

 

Next Meeting will be May 19th Justin's Carriage House Restaurant.
