Join us for our first Scarecrow Competition. Enter even if you don't think you have a chance to win, do it for the fun - get the whole family involved, everyone has a chance to win! Please read carefully the rules an regulations below.

Official Rules and Regulations

1. Fill out the official entry form and return it to the SVBA by 9/19/03.
2. Each entry must be accompanied by a $10.00 entry fee, refundable upon completion of your scarecrow.
3. Scarecrow materials shall be supplied the applicant. The SVBA has the right to refuse a scarecrow entry if found offensive to the general public.
4. The scarecrow must be secured to a 1 1/2 inchsquare post.
5. The applicant should make the scarecrow as weatherproof as possible to withstand the outdoors for the duration of the contest. If the scarecrow does not hold up it may effect judging and outcome of the voting
6. No perishable goods should be used in the construction.
7. Applicants will bring scarecrows on September 26-28th
8. The Scarecrow should should have a weatherproof with name of scarcrow and the applicants name or organization.
9. WINNERS will be announced on October 24th.
